Questions
The things people ask us first.
What does the free sample actually cost me?
Nothing, and there's nothing to cancel. We build a sample homepage for your business and send it to you. If you don't like it, that's the end of it — you've paid nothing and signed nothing.
Why is there a gap that says “photo goes here”?
Because we don't have your photos yet and we'd rather leave the space marked out than fill it with a stock photo of someone else's shop. Send us whatever you have, even phone photos, and we'll put them in. The finished site won't have any placeholders left.
Can I ask for something that isn't on your list?
Yes, and we'd prefer it. If you've seen something on another website you like, send it to us and we'll try to build it. Nothing on this page is a fixed menu.
Who actually builds it?
We do, by hand, with you. You'll be dealing with the person doing the work — not a call centre and not a ticket number. You can ring or text during the build and changes usually happen the same day.
Do I own the website?
Yes. The domain is registered in your name and you pay the registrar directly, never us. If you ever want to move it somewhere else, you can, and we'll help you do it.
What about hosting?
At this size hosting is free, so there's no monthly bill for it. The only thing you pay for every year is the domain name, which is usually around $20–$30 direct to the registrar.
I already have a website.
Then we'll build a sample of what a new one could look like and you can put them side by side. Plenty of sites just need a refresh rather than a rebuild — if that's yours, we'll tell you so.
